Development of Artistic Expression in Pre-school Children

The bachelor thesis deals with the development of children's art expression, primarily drawing and painting, in pre-school children. The theoretical part presents the connection between leisure time and children's art expression. It also characterizes preschool age in terms of artistic expression. It also presents the typical signs of children's artistic expression and its development. The practical part of the thesis consists of author's art project with the theme Travelling with the Little Prince, which was realized in kindergarten Královská školka in České Budějovice. Through artistic activities the project points out the typical signs and differences in the artistic expressions of pre-school children. The project used art techniques that clearly show these characteristics and are close to pre-school children. The bachelor thesis uses literature from the field of pedagogy, psychology and art education.

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na kresbu předškolních dětí očima rodičů. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda se rodiče zajímají o kresbu svého dítěte, zda mají doma nějaké pomůcky k výtvarným činnostem, zda věnují dostatečnou pozornost detailům v kresbě dítěte a zda si s dítětem o nakresleném obrázku povídají. V teoretické části jsem se zaměřila na předškolní období, kresbu a její vývojová stádia. Krátce jsem se zmínila o rámcovém vzdělávacím programu pro předškolní vzdělávání, který je závazný pro všechna předškolní zařízení. V praktické části jsem dělala výzkumné šetření formou dotazníku pro rodiče. Výzkum proběhl na dvou mateřských školách, z nichž jedna byla na vesnici a druhá byla ve městě. Art activities in preschool for children under three years

Theoretical part is focused on the child's development till the pre-school period. Furthermore, it is also focused on the current and past institutional care possibilities for kids younger than 3 years old. Last chapter is dedicated to child's artistic expressions. It is focused on the development, artistic techniques, methods and goals of artistic activities. Practical part contains an analysis of series of spontaneous drawings created by kids younger than three years old. It also incorporates a questionnaire investigation focused on the artistic activities which is dedicated for teachers of kindergartens who have in their class two-year-old kids. Based on the investigation and data collection from questionnaire several artistic cases, for kids this age, were suggested and also verified. The relational dynamics of the family with issue visual handicap

The bachelor thesis "Relational dynamics of the family with the issue of visual impairment" deals with the art therapeutic effects on families where one of the children in the family carries visual handicap. It monitors the development of artistic expression and relationship dynamics of the whole family. The author is looking for opportunities for improvement or shift relationship dynamics of the family using the developments in artistic expression of individual family members, and consequently their relationships.

Therapeutical aspects in three dimensional works by teenagers

This bachelor thesis describes the spatial aspects of therapeutic work and its contribution to art therapy. It focuses on artistic expression during adolescence and the earlier period, the art of crisis, for which the recourse is the use of three-dimensional work. This thesis is composed of two parts, theoretical and practical. The practical part includes a proposal to create a spatial overlap with therapeutic techniques, to enhance existing traditional spatial techniques used in art therapy. A part of this section is the practical realisation techniques, methods of work and subsequent analysis of resulting artifacts, including their visual presentation.

Artistic expression preschool children - a study case report

The thesis is focused on creative expression of preschool children, specifically a shift in the development of artistic expression in one year. The theoretical part deals with the preschool period, the child and its growing up in different areas, especially in the artistic expression. The practical part includes case studies of five children, who are mainly directed at the children's creative expression and development.
